Discussion on Research Funding Scheme with UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi and the National Research and Innovation Agency by KSDH Study Centre

On Wednesday (August, 31st 2022), The Conservation and Biological Resources Study Centre (KSDH) held a "Discussion on Funding Scheme for Research and Advanced Studies through the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)" virtually. This discussion presented speakers from the National Research and Innovation Agency that is Dr. Araz Meilin, M.Si.

This virtual discussion was attended by lecturers and researchers from inside and outside UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. The opening of the event as well as activity reports were represented by the secretary of the KSDH Study Center, Aini Qomariah Manurung, M.Sc., because the Rector of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Prof. Dr. H. Su'aidi, M.A., Ph.D., and Head of the KSDH Study Center, Bayu Kurniawan, S.Si., M.Sc., were out of town attending the UI GreenMetric Workshop at Multimedia Nusantara University. The Secretary of the KSDH Study Center hopes that the KSDH Study Center can carry out more similar useful activities in the future.

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is a government institution under and responsible to the president. BRIN partners with many research organizations such as Earth and Maritime; Biology and Environment; Agriculture and Food; Health; Archeology, Language and Literature; Social Sciences and Humanities; Nuclear Power; Governance, Economy and Community Welfare; Energy and Manufacturing; Nanotechnology and Materials; Electronics and Informatics; and Aviation and Space. Dr. Araz Mailin, M, Si. also shared information about the scheme, flow, and funding requirements provided by BRIN to researchers, lecturers who want to continue their education taking degree by research programs, and final year students with their innovative research. Furthermore, she also shared links that can be visited to register research and get more complete information.

This discussion activity was closed with the hope that there would be a follow-up in the form of a deeper discussion so that researchers from BRIN and researchers at UIN STS Jambi could collaborate on more innovative research.
