UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi Ranking at UI GreenMetric World University Rankings of 2021

UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has continued to be committed in realizing a Green Campus Program as reflected in every policy and program carried out in recent times. In 2021, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has participated in UI Green Metric World University Ranking for the second time.  

UI Green Metric is a green campus-based ranking by prioritizing 17 Sustainable Development Goals at each assessment point. There are 6 criteria in this ranking program, such as 1. Setting and Infrastructure, 2. Energy and Climate Change, 3. Waste, 4. Water, 5. Transportation, 6. Education and Research.

UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has experienced a very significant increase in ranking compared to our first participation in 2020, particularly from the ranking of 485 in 2020 to 316th place in 2021 which was followed by 956 universities in the world, with the initial target of 350th place in the world based on analysis by the Green Sutha team.

Specifically, our campus improvement can also be seen from several divisions. First, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has ranked 169th in Asia, and 34th place in Indonesia. Moreover, we are ranked in the 223rd place in the area where rural campuses are located in the world, 169th place based on the Setting and Infrastructure criteria, world’s 397th place in the Energy and Climate Change criteria, the 578th place in the Waste Criteria, 488th place in the Water criteria, 176th place in the Transportation criteria, as well as the 104th place in the Education and Research criteria in the world.

In 2022, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi targets to be ranked in the top 30 in Indonesia and ranked 300th place in the world with a number of programs that have been and will be carried out by the entire academic community of this campus.
