The Head of the Center for Conservation and Biological Studies (KSDH) attented the National Scientific Meeting oof the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking in East Java

The Head of KSDH Study Center and the Head of the Center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi attended the National Scientific Meeting of the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking at Wiraraja University, East Java (Wednesday, 13/07/23).

This activity is a regular agenda of the National Scientific Meeting of the TILIK Team (Campus Infrastructure and Environment Team) for the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking in 2023 with the theme "Higher Education Institutions' Commitment to Achieving a Green Campus with Sustainable Development".

Rector of Unija Madura, Sjaifurrachman, expressed gratitude to UI GreenMetric for their support in this event. "We are proud and grateful to Riri Fitri Sari, the Chairperson of UI GreenMetric, for their trust in us as the host of the Campus Infrastructure and Environment Team (TILIK) Workshop for the year 2023," he stated in his speech.

The TILIK activity featured speakers from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Surabaya (ITS), Untirta Banten, UIN RIL, and UI GreenMetric World University Ranking. The speaker from ITS delivered a presentation on architectural design for safe and comfortable buildings. Additionally, the behavior of building users plays a crucial role in creating pleasant and comfortable buildings.

According to Bayu, who participated in the TILIK activity directly, it can be concluded that "campus management is the key to achieving long-term sustainability. The comfort and security of a campus can be reflected in the management of existing infrastructure." This activity is also expected to serve as a reference for improving the management of UIN Jambi's campus and as a guideline for filling out the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking assessment.

According to the World Bank, optimal campus infrastructure enables students to develop their cognitive skills more effectively. Well-functioning infrastructure, particularly in the physical condition of campus buildings, positively influences the completion rates of studies and can enhance student enrollment. The importance of having a conducive environment aids students in achieving the desired outcomes in the learning process. Thus, good educational infrastructure leads to an improvement in the quality of education and has a significant impact on student performance.
